Choose a print layout
Match the check position on the PDF to your paper before you print.

The review dialog provides three check positions on a US Letter sheet:
- Standard business check: the standard layout with the check at the top.
- Standard (middle): the check positioned in the middle of the page.
- Standard (bottom): the check positioned at the bottom of the page.
Choose the position that matches the check area of your stock. These are placement options, not separate bank account types.
Review the full PDF
- Complete the required fields in the writer and open the review dialog.
- Select a layout and allow the PDF preview to update.
- Inspect the entire sheet, including any stubs, signature, and the number line at the bottom of the check.
- Print a plain-paper test at 100% / Actual size and compare it with the stock you intend to use.
The live preview can hide blank space around the check. Use the full PDF to judge its position on the sheet.
Layouts on saved checks
Edit the layout while a check is an editable draft. A released check may have its layout locked to preserve the saved version. Open the saved check to print another copy instead of recreating it.
If it does not line up
Confirm the layout, paper size, and print scale. Do not shrink the PDF to make it appear to fit. See Printer setup & alignment for a consistent test process.
