Check statuses & voiding

What statuses mean

Draft

A saved check that can still be edited, subject to your permissions. Its number is reserved.

PDF prepared

The check has been prepared for delivery or printing. It is not a confirmation that a paper copy printed.

Printed

A successful paper print was confirmed. This does not indicate bank clearance.

Voided

The check has been marked void in CheckCrafter. Normal print and share actions are unavailable.

Approval states such as Awaiting approval or Changes requested are separate from these check statuses.

Confirm or repeat printing

Use Confirm printed after a successful paper print. For another copy, use Print another copy and confirm the reprint. Enter the number of copies that actually printed; each additional copy is recorded.

Use the existing saved check for reprints rather than creating a new payment with the same details.

Void or restore a check

If your permissions allow it, open the check and choose Mark as void. Review the account, payee, and check number, then confirm. The change is retained in the record.

To correct an accidental void, use Restore as PDF prepared where available. The number remains reserved. Review the record and any previously delivered copies before printing or sharing again.

Paid markers and QR verification

Mark paid records that the issuer has confirmed the payment as paid. It is a manual record, not automatic confirmation from a bank. Use Remove paid status to correct an incorrect marker when your access allows it.

A verification QR code on a supported saved check opens its current verification page. Voided and paid markers can appear there. A Quick Check PDF or older check may not have this verification feature. Viewing a verification page does not establish the available bank balance or guarantee payment.
