Choose your starting point

Use Quick Check for a one-off check without creating an account. Use a signed-in workspace when you want saved bank accounts, payees, drafts, and check history.

Have your bank account details, the payee’s name, the payment amount, and your next check number ready. Review any prefilled information before using it.

  1. Open Quick Check and complete Payment details: payee, amount, check number, and date. Add a memo if needed.
  2. Complete Your bank details, including account holder, bank name, routing number, and account number. Keep any leading zeros.
  3. Choose Review & print. Review the full PDF and select the layout that matches your paper.
  4. Select Download check PDF. Open the file and print at Actual size / 100%. Test on plain paper before using check stock.

Guest PDFs include a small CheckCrafter.com credit. Quick Check does not create a saved workspace check. See Quick Check or a workspace? for the differences.

Set up a workspace

  1. Create an account or sign in. Complete the setup prompts shown for your account.
  2. Confirm the active account and business before entering records. If you have access to several, use the account and business menus.
  3. Open Manage Banks and add the account you will pay from. Open Manage Payees to save recipients.
  4. Open Write Check, choose your bank and payee, and complete the payment details. Save a draft or continue to review and print.

Some workspaces require a separate person to approve a check before it can be signed, printed, or sent. Follow the approval message in the writer.

Before you finish

Check the payee, amount, date, check number, bank details, and signature on the full PDF. After a workspace check prints successfully, confirm printing when prompted. Downloading a PDF and confirming a paper print are separate steps.
