Troubleshooting & FAQs
Resolve common printing, sharing, sign-in, and missing-record problems.

The PDF is blank, blocked, or will not print
Complete the required fields and wait for the preview to finish. Use the available retry, Open PDF, or Download PDF action. If the writer offers secure PDF generation, use that recovery option.
Open the downloaded file in a PDF viewer and print at 100%. Save a draft before refreshing. Check the saved record before creating another check. For paper position problems, follow Printer setup & alignment.
I cannot find a check
Confirm the active account and business. Open Checks, clear filters, and broaden the date range. Look under Drafts or PDF prepared if printing was never confirmed. Quick Check PDFs are not saved in workspace history.
Print, send, or approve is unavailable
Read the message beside the action. Common reasons include incomplete details, missing permissions, a voided check, a plan limit, or pending approval. A check creator cannot approve their own check where separate review is required. See Submit & review approvals.
A link or PIN does not work
Make sure the recipient is using the matching link and PIN, especially after a replacement. The link may have expired, been revoked, or reached an access limit. The sender can inspect History and replace the link and PIN. After too many unsuccessful PIN attempts, follow the wait message before trying again.
If email has not arrived, the sender should check the address and delivery state in sharing history. Queued email is not yet delivered, and delivery to a mail server is not proof of opening.
I cannot sign in or accept an invitation
Check which email address was invited. Use Forgot password for a password reset, or ask the inviter for a new invitation if the link is expired or revoked. If a session has expired, sign in again before retrying the action.
Does Printed or Mark paid mean the bank cleared it?
No. Printed records a confirmed paper print. Mark paid is a manual issuer record. CheckCrafter does not automatically confirm bank clearance. Likewise, marking a check void in the app does not stop payment at a bank. See Check statuses & voiding.
Still need help?
For shared-account access or approval permissions, start with the account owner or administrator. For help with CheckCrafter, email [email protected]. Include:
- The page and action you were trying to use.
- The exact error message and approximate time it happened.
- Your browser and device, plus whether retrying changed the result.
- A screenshot with sensitive details hidden.
Do not include passwords, full routing or account numbers, signatures, or sharing PINs. You do not need to create a duplicate payment to reproduce a problem.
