Open a saved check and choose Send or share check. The action requires the appropriate permission, a check that is not voided, and approval if your workspace requires it.

  1. Choose Copy a link to send it yourself, or Send by email and enter the recipient’s email address.
  2. Set Link expires in: 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days.
  3. Open PIN & notifications to review how the PIN will be delivered and whether you want access updates.
  4. Select Create protected link or Create link & queue email.
  5. Copy the new link and PIN. If you chose separate PIN delivery, give the PIN through another channel.

Save the PIN when it appears. Sharing history does not reveal existing PINs. If the PIN is lost, replace the link and PIN.

What the recipient does

The recipient opens the link and enters its PIN. After unlocking the check, they can review it and use the available PDF or print actions without entering your workspace. Print confirmation records what the recipient reports; it does not confirm that a payment cleared.

Check delivery and access

Open the sharing dialog’s History tab. Review the recipient, expiration, delivery status, and recorded access. Use Refresh status to check for updates.

Queued means email is waiting to be sent. Accepted by email service or Delivered to recipient’s mail server does not mean the recipient opened it. If email is awaiting setup, the created link can still be copied and shared manually.

Replace or revoke access

Use Revoke in History to disable an existing link. Use Replace link & PIN or Resend with new link & PIN if the recipient needs a fresh pair. Give the recipient the new PIN as well as the new link.

Revoking a link cannot remove a PDF that someone already downloaded or a check they already printed. For a check that should no longer be used, also review the voiding guidance.
