Attach supporting documents
Keep receipts, invoices, and other files with the saved check they support.
2 min readAdd documents to a check
Use the supporting-document area in the writer, or open a saved check and choose Manage documents. Users with read-only access may see View documents instead.
- Select the receipt, invoice, or supporting file. On supported mobile devices, the file picker may offer the camera or photo library.
- Wait for the upload to finish and resolve any error shown for an individual file.
- Review the attached file’s name and preview. Save the draft or changes where prompted.
- Open the saved check’s document section to confirm the file is attached to the intended record.
Supported files
Use PDF, JPG/JPEG, PNG, or WebP files. Upload up to 10 files at a time, with a maximum of 25 MB per file and 50 MB total per request. Image uploads can be optimized before upload; follow any size or format message the app shows.
If a phone photo uses an unsupported format, export it as JPEG or PNG. Renaming the file extension alone does not convert an image.
View or download an attachment
Open the document viewer from the check. Use its preview and download actions as available. If the preview cannot render a file, download it and open it in a compatible viewer.
Supporting files belong to the check record. Do not assume they are included in a check PDF or accessible through a recipient’s check-sharing link.
If an upload fails
Check the format and size, try fewer files, and confirm that your session is still signed in. Keep the original file until you can reopen the saved attachment. If editing is unavailable, check the record’s status and your permissions with the account owner.
