Manage banks & payees
Save payment accounts and recipients, and keep the correct records available to your workspace.
2 min readAdd a bank account
- Confirm your active account and business, then open Manage Banks.
- Start the add-bank flow and enter the account holder, bank name, routing number, and account number. Review the address and check-number settings shown in the form.
- Add an optional bank logo or authorized signature where available. Preview uploaded images before saving.
- Review the details and save. Select this bank when writing a check.
Keep leading zeros in account numbers. Use the validation messages to correct the form. Saving a bank profile does not connect CheckCrafter to online banking or verify the account’s balance.
Add a payee
Open Manage Payees and add the person or business you pay. Verify the name that should print on the check, mailing address, and contact details. A correct address also helps when printing envelopes.
Search existing payees before adding another record for the same recipient.
Edit or archive records
Edit a saved record when its details need updating. Review the details on each check before printing; changing a profile is not a substitute for reviewing an existing saved check.
Use Archive when a bank or payee should no longer be offered for new work. Use the Archived or All filter to find it and Restore to make it available again. Permanent deletion is only available for eligible unused records.
Archived bank accounts still count toward the bank-account limit. Archiving a bank does not free a plan slot.
If a record is missing
Check the active account and business, clear search filters, and include archived records. If you still cannot see or edit a record, ask the account owner to check your access. See Accounts, businesses & access.
